Gearing up for the Move!

Less than a week to go!  My dog is safely at my parents house for his year of east coast love.  My bags are packed...or they were until I arrived and there was a massive bag explosion.  I'll buy my first abaya (black thin over dress worn by Saudi women) before I leave.  I've been reading blogs about the Middle East and keeping up on the current news in the area.  I am ready for the journey! 

So Ok let's see.  When I have told people over the last few months that I am going to move to Saudi Arabia there are two common questions...WHY?  and What do your parents think?!  My answers are simple...Why not? and They love it, this is how I was raised!

There is honestly no place I wouldn't love the chance to explore, the Middle East being no exception.  I think there are a lot of misconceptions between the Western and Arab worlds, especially now.  I want to learn, grow, experience, and be enlightened!  I'm excited for the changes that the people of the region are striving for.  It will no doubt be a fun, interesting, and exciting year!
